So here it is, were gonna lay down the foundations for optimizing a website from top to bottom. please note that not all of these methods are endorsed by all optimizers, but they worked for me. even if you dont agree with everything written in here you will find that many facts are quite solid. Step One : Keywords. ----------------------------- Probably the first thing you'd want to look after is keywords, because all seo processes are built upon promoting a website for its keywords of choice, however there are some guidelines on how to choose good keywords (some keywords are highly competitive and are practically impossible for a novice seo practitioner to rank for). Search engines look for relevant websites according to the search term put in by the user. the search term for which a website wants to rank is probably his primary keyword. primary keywords are the main theme of your website. (it is the most relevant term to describe a site's category and also the greatest source of traffic for a website's category). there are many ways of telling whether a keyword is within the boundaries of difficulty that are fit for beginners. allot of people heres the one i use. most people look at the number of results for a keyword as indication for competition this is sometimes correct and mostly way off. why you ask? including your selected keywords inside the title tag and anchor text are huge factors in promoting sites for a search term,thus by doing an "allinanchor:" and "allintitle:" searches in google you get to see the real picture if a keyword has few or no results under these searches you could know that launching a website with the keyword in its anchor text and title would automatically get you to rank for the keyword.
